Ruth's Way is a faith-based non-profit that was established in 2014. Our non-profit is based on Mark 5:34, ..." and Jesus said to her, 'Daughter, your faith has made you well; now go in peace and be healed from your affliction.'" Everything that we do is to help the people we serve to heal and build whole health and wellness.
Our non profit started in 2014 with advocacy work and public speaking. Our first sober home for women opened two years later in December 2016. Since the doors opened, over 300 women have entered our homes. Some women have stayed for multiple years to establish a firm foundation and have built autonomy. Our sober home structure is designed to assist women in building on SAMSHA's eight dimensions of wellness. In 2017 we began offering recovery coaching. Recovery coaches assist participants through the recovery process. We support others by removing barriers, advocating for them, and helping people to navigate the recovery process. Our recovery-based training has been offered since 2019. We facilitate trainings to help people heal so that they can help others. Our trainings can be designed to suit an organization's needs.
