Sober Housing for Women

Our sober homes are located in Wakefield and Lynn on the Salem line. To apply for sober housing, please complete either the printable application or the online application. The printable application can be emailed or faxed along with the applicant's medication list and bio-psycho-social with contact information. Our email address is ruthswayforwomen@gmail.com, and our fax is # (857) 816-3241. Once the information is received, an interview will be scheduled.

Our MASH-certified homes promote independent living in a structured family environment.

Our structured environment includes, but is not exclusive to following:

  • Pay weekly fees on time
  • 1 weekly bible study (optional)
  • 1 weekly house meeting
  • Attend daily AA/NA, Smart Recovery, or other meetings approved by staff until working full-time, then attend a minimum of three meetings per week
  • 2 weekly drug/alcohol compliance analysis and/or breathalyzing
  • 1 monthly life skills night
  • Responsible to keep her bedroom neat and clean, clean up after herself, and house chores
  • Each member is responsible for keeping the bedroom neat and clean, tidying up after herself, and completing house chores

If a woman is unable to work, she will need to volunteer (according to her abilities), attend school, participate in a program, or participate with a agreed-upon productive activity. This is to encourage women to be active and take ownership of their recovery.

Each recovery plan will be tailored to the individual woman's needs.  The recovery plan encourages accountability and direction.

Assistance with life skills reinforces positive change.

House standards are to ensure the safety and cohesive behaviors of everyone in the house.
